Bangsund Pinot Noir sits on a mound in front of the family home and features almost 50-year-old vines. Because The Dalles is a warmer and drier region of the Gorge, the Pinot Noir is dramatically different than that of typical Oregon Pinots. It reflects dramatically different nuances of riper fruit and earth notes – juicy ripe cherries, honeycomb and sun-warmed soils and a softer acidity of 3.8 pH. A classic French left bank Pinot, yet reflecting the uniqueness of our Columbia Gorge region. We adoringly call it our ‘happy hour wine’ and it pairs well with charcuterie and meaty fish. A choice recipe, included with the purchase of the wine, is Jocelyn’s Baked Salmon with Morel Tarragon Cream Sauce. Only 150 cases produced.
Pairs well with: Chicken Pate, roast chicken, mushrooms, tuna
