The Mourvèdre vines (“more-ved’ – as the French say), are grown in the Sugarloaf Vineyard, part of the renown Rattlesnake Hills AVA. The variety can be difficult to grow preferring “its face in the sun and its feet in the water,” meaning the vines need warm weather. In this Central Washington vineyard the grapes thrive during long, hot summer days.

This 2022 vintage opens with delicate floral aromas with sweet dried black currant, cracked pepper and hints of rosemary. The palate is soft, juicy brambly berries, ending a long lingering pepper finish.

A perfect wine with smoked meats, sausages and rich herbed poultry.
