2020 Necessity White

Product

Sourced predominately from our house vineyards, this delicious blend of Estate Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris is an elegant blend of our premier white varietals demonstrating the nuance and diversity of the wine-growing region here in the Columbia Gorge.

The wine opens with a nose of green apple and a touch of honey. This leads to a soft, juicy palate of orchard fruits (apple/pear), with a lemon zest finish.

Pairing: Summer salads, poultry, avocado stuffed sweet potatoes.

NEW RELEASE

2018 Merlot

Product

Sourced from Elephant Mountain and Reid Vineyards.  All grapes were picked and taken in at optimum ripeness with a two week fermentation for full color extraction and fermented to full dryness. The wine was then barrel aged for 18 months in neutral oak providing a sensuous texture with balanced acidity and easy tannins.

This merlot opens with fruit forward aromas with ripe boysenberry and spice on the nose.  A robust savory palate with supple tannins leading to a peppery, dry finish.

Pair with: braised ribs, pizza and falafel burgers

2009 Chardonnay Reserve

Our Chardonnay Reserve has cellared beautifully. Single sourced and aged for 16 months in neutral Oak barrels. A nutty, toasted caramel and marzipan nose, leading to a creamy vanilla and custard palate. This vintage Chardonnay leaves you with a clean, bright and dry finish.

Due to our cooler climate, Oregon Chardonnay has a naturally higher acidity level than those from California, making them perfect for long barrel aging. Acidity stands up to time resulting in a more complex and balanced wine.

Pair with roasted poultry, lobster bisque or creamy pumpkin risotto.

From way back in 2008, this premium vintage 50/50 blend of Reserve Syrah and Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is one of our signature blends and lives up to it's name!

The bouquet explodes out of the glass, with rich, lush fragrant berry and spice. The palate is full and juicy with luscious ripe red berries that linger on for a long and decadent spice finish. Pair with grilled meats, creamy mushroom risotto, and beef stroganoff.

One of our most popular vintages!  Sourced from Hillside vineyard in the Columbia Valley AVA.

This delicious wine opens with a full alluring bouquet of cherry spice, fennel, and white pepper.  The wine leads to a big, rich full mouth feel with a savory palate, mid tannins and a soft spice finish.  A very drinkable and approachable cabernet that is ready to be enjoyed with good food and good friends.  Pairs well with sausage and grilled meats, lamb kebabs and big, juicy Portobello mushroom's.

Our Cabernet/Merlot blend is a traditional Bordeaux style blend, a perfectly balanced pairing of 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. Our 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is a true reflection of the talent of our local growers. Sourced from the famous Elephant Mountain Vineyard, the wine opens with vibrant aromas of toasted cedar, vanilla and baking spice. A medium ruby red color delights the eye and a palate of cherries finishing with sturdy tannins and lingering spice completes this delicious wine.  This wine pairs beautifully with hearty seared meats, roasted vegetables and mushrooms - especially Portobello's, Pacific Northwest Morel's and Chanterelle's.

2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve: Our 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is a true reflection of the talent of our local growers. This wine pairs beautifully with hearty seared meats, roasted vegetables and mushrooms – especially Pacific Northwest Morels and Chanterelles. Approachable yet bold, complex with plenty of grip; hints of red berries, earth, oak, and tannins with a smooth & memorable finish.

2017 Cabernet Sauvignon: A smooth and perfectly balanced blend of Elephant Mountain, Moody, and McKinley Springs vineyards.  Aged in barrel for 22 months, our Cabernet Sauvignon is one of our boldest and most distinctive red wines and a quintessential representation of the Pacific Northwest. We harvest the grapes when they have developed a ripe earthiness with rich, black cherry flavors and deep tannins in the skin; while maintaining acidity. Smooth and complex with bold, luscious notes of black cherries with an undertone of rosemary and eucalyptus. Ripe blueberries round out the finish.

2016 Malbec Reserve: McKinley Springs Vineyards are the original players in the now fabled Horse Heaven Hills AVA.  Bright, bold and full-bodied; deep and dark in color. Rich aromas of earth and lush blackberry lead to a savory palate of Italian red plum, cedar, and a touch of pepper. Our Malbec Reserve Red Wine is a Tasting Room favorite!  Delightfully juicy, this Malbec will pair perfectly with a rib-eye steak smothered in peppercorn cream sauce.

2017 Dampier Pinot Noir Reserve: Located on the north side of the Columbia River sits Dampier Vineyard in Underwood Mountain, WA. At approximately 1,100 feet, this vineyard benefits from southern facing slopes with great exposure to the sun and cool Gorge winds throughout the growing season. Our Dampier Vineyard Reserve Pinot Noir Red Wine is taken from the Eastern most rows which gain additional flavor from this slightly different soil and exposure.

A delightful herbaceous nose leading to an earthy, red currant palate with a soft, spicy rhubarb finish. This black label reserve offers a delicate finish that will pair perfectly with any cuisine.

2016 The Daughter's Reserve:  A sassy Rhone inspired blend named for the winery owner’s daughter and fitting to her personality! Complex flavors and aromas of ripe raspberry, blueberry, and currant transition into savory herbal notes of anise and green peppercorn, along with hints of caramel and warm baking spices. On the full, bright, and lively palate, savory notes of tobacco, toasted brown sugar and baking spices become more defined on the warm and zippy finish.

It’s a fantastic wine for great times and great company. This second release vintage of The Daughters’ is a blend we’ve looked forward to making and sharing. Pair with smoky BBQ or hearty meats.

2018 Chardonnay Reserve: Our Reserve Chardonnay White Wines is single sourced and aged for 16 months in neutral Oak barrels.  Featuring a delicious vanilla and caramelized soft oak bouquet and palate of rich custard flan, leading to a luscious creamy soft caramel finish.  Lip smacking delicious! Due to our cooler climate, Oregon Chardonnay has a naturally higher acidity level than those from California, making them perfect for long barrel aging. Acidity stands up to time resulting in a more complex and balanced wine.

2019 Pinot Gris: The beautifully situated Van Horn Vineyard Pinot Gris was custom crushed at Mt Hood Vineyard. This Pinot Gris is full bodied with a bright yet silky mouthfeel and a crisp finish.  Crisp notes of peach, pear, and apricot with hints of jasmine on the nose transforms into the palate with Mandarin Oranges, honeysuckle blossom and mildly nutty notes of cashew. This wine is a perfect match for light appetizers, grilled fish, chicken and pasta salads.
